According to the Hope for Youth Board, this award is in recognition of our dedication and work to unify the community, bringing business and non-profits together while promoting positive energy. The charity that I told you about last week is the: "Association of Mental Health & Wellness" in Ronkonkoma. They are a 501(c)(3). Their big fundraising event is their "6th Annual Chili Cook-Off and Fall Festival" which will be held on Saturday, 10/15/2016 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
They’re looking for Chili Cooks (they compete for free) as well as sponsors and of course, attendees. All proceeds go to benefit people impacted by mental illness and at-risk and homeless Veterans.
Please let me know if there is anything you think you can do to help me, help them, make this event a success.
