Sock Drive Update

Over 16,000 pairs collected & counting for The INN - Interfaith Nutrition Network 

- a wonderful Long Island charity that offers a variety of services; 

including 450,000 meals annually for those in need.

…IT’S HOLIDAY WARMTH FROM SOME FRIENDS

The INN has been asked, around holiday time

What donors can offer – what gifts and what kind?

So we sent out a message

To all near and wide-

“Please shop for some warmth, some love, of some kind.”

“Collect socks for the guests”, was the message we sent

And a group stepped forward- without hesitant.

It wasn’t too hard for them to all see-

That for guests at The INN

This was pure luxury.

Socks in abundance -every color and size

Girl socks and boy socks – the pile on rise.

The group spread the word at every event

Asking friends and relations

To fill up the tent.

The collections continued-

Throughout the whole season.

The giving was grand-

Since they all knew the reason.

So the tale be now told

As the count is now tallied

10,000 PAIRS were brought in

Because EVERYONE RALLIED.
