Retiring? Learn how to Segment Your Time.

"There aren't enough hours in the day." I lived this phrase during the course of my career, especially when I had long, daily commutes to work! My day-to-day was extremely structured, and by the time I arrived home, I had little flexibility to do much of anything else. I was lucky to have been able to work with my trainer on Sunday mornings, and practice running 5K's.

What a difference retirement has made! I am now able to be an Entrepreneur, teach part-time in the evening, spend more time with my husband and extended family, participate in philanthropic and volunteer efforts, and still enjoy running 5K's and exercising to maintain good health.

If you are starting to think about retiring, give some thought as to how you will segment your time. Of course, you don't have to account for every minute of every day. Just start to consider how you would like to divide your time, perhaps according to the areas I've mentioned above. I hope to be able to chat with some of you about this topic as well, hopefully, in the near future.
